Uninstalling all the programs and demos that come preisntalled on my notebook. Why can't they ask you during install if you want any of them? After that I'm finally upgrading to Windows 7.

Does anybody know a good English dictionary I can install? I have a very good Dutch-English English-Dutch dictionary but it's a very old version and it might not want to install on Windows 7. I am very tempted to get the new version but it's €200 and at the moment I can't afford that. I don't mind paying for a dictionary but €50 is my limit, also I don't mind if it's an English-English dictionary for now.

Aahhhh, glorious bloatware... it wouldn't be quite so bad if all of it didn't load itself into memory every time you boot, but of course then what would be the marketing point of that (from their perspective).

Why not just remove it from the boot order? That's the first thing I do when ever I do a fresh OS and application install. I don't need the iTunes Helper to run every time I re-boot, or the Adobe mgr, the Apple Mobile Device mgr, or two dozen other 'helper apps' that take up memory. If I want to add tunes to my iPhone, I don't mind waiting the extra 30 seconds it takes to connect, and I appreciate having the extra memory available when I really need it!

I don't actually run Windows - I'm a linux person from a long, LONG time back (okay, OS/2 before that).

That said, as the pressures of the universe are, I've had to naturally interact with a lot of Windows machines in the way of servicing them. Eliminating them from the loadup/boot/startup sequences works... until something updates them and they crawl back into there. One thing is for sure, they do their very best to make it as fickle as possible to eliminate them ":ERROR: Cannot find a file i need to remove myself, quitting"

Yes, it depends on the number of posts you have. If you delete the chocoholic it will become "Addict". If I delete Mr. Blinky Ble Eye I will become "Wizard".

thanks, it's been a hundred years or so since someone said I'm talented

I didn't use photoshop but Canon G10 did a good job - the tulip looks wonderful in photo, though it looks like scrap in reality

Got my Valentines gift today.

I am printing out the Instruction Book for my iRiver S 100 Mp3/4.

Not being the brightest of nature's children, it will probably take me ages to master.
