				Where's my book??????
I plugged my Kobo to my PC, I have both Calibre and Adobe Digital Editions up, I purchased a book from Kobo (the website) and it shows on my KOBO Library shelf. It's not on my eReader.... I o b v i o u s l y 1) don't know how to buy a book and have it "placed" on my eReader 2) cannot "add book" to Calibre 3) FEAR the day I want to "borrow" a book from the library using ADE. If this is supposed to be the most user friendly eReader out there, I'm really in trouble. I realize I am technically challenged to say the least, but WHY in heaven's name do I need so many applications (Calibre, ADE, the Store) to read a book on my eReader? I have gone through calibre's tutorial, and the KOBO User Guide, but I need to know how to use this thing... Help please |

Have you synced you Kobo to your library after purchasing the E-book? You won't ever be able to put the book into Calibre because it has DRM (Digital Rights Management) and will only work with programs with ADE. Don't worry about downloading a book from the library, If you have Google Chrome (The best web browser ) it will show up as downloaded at the bottom of the screen and then you open ADE and drag the downloaded file into it, it may take a couple of seconds for it to show up in ADE but it will be there. Hope this solves you problem |

If it's a book bought from Kobo, unless you have opted to download it in ePub format, it is in the Kobo format, and has to synced via the Kobo Desktop program. You can find the Kobo desktop program under the Start button in the the Kobo folder. Once you have launched it, you do an "Update Library" in the desktop program to bring new books down to your PC, and then, with the Kobo reader attached to your PC you should be able to do a "Sync" in the desktop program to update the Kobo itself. |

AH and I overlooked one thing! You DO have a Kobo WiFi so as long as you have WiFi access on the Kobo you should just be able to do an "update library" directly on it. You would find this on the SHOP menu button on the left side of the Kobo. By the START button I had meant the "START" button on your Windows desktop (bottom left hand) (yes... I did make the major assumption you are a Windows user). |
