![]() Could be, I haven't given up hope yet! It wouldn't make sense for the Book Depository not to change release dates. There are also multiple versions for sale, the earliest is released on Feb 17th, than in May, November and March next year. |

Currently reading The Mirror by Marlys Millhiser.
Couldn't get it in ebook so reading a PB, loving the story but going back to PB's is awful. ![]() |

I decided on A Discovery of Witches. Three hours in (and this is a 608 page book, in hardback pages), and I'm totally hooked and fascinated.

![]() Well, I've decided on reading Fool Moon first, the second Dresden book by Jim Butcher. I had to wait for my copy of Nyphron Rising to arrive in my mailbox, so that one's next. |

I'm reading Footsteps in the Dark, a Georgette Heyer mystery: I thought I had read them all by 30 years ago, but now that the Heyers are all apparently being reissued, books I haven't read by her keep turning up! She only wrote 50, so this has to end at some point, but I don't think I've read the newly reissued Arabella, either, a Regency romance.
I am consolidating everything on the Kindle app for iPad because iTunes has so few book listings for ebooks compared to Amazon. The page-turning is much more beautiful on the Apple ebooks, but I get tired of them never having anything. If it's out there, Amazon has it, and that includes the free stuff and classics, usually in multiple editions. Now if only the Kindle app will start allowing categorizing books like the Apple app just did this week!!!! I have separate bookcases at home for different categories of books, why not in my elibrary. |

Warning: NON-FICTION ahead!!!
The Secret Lives of Somerset Maugham has gotten better, now that we're into his rather complex personal life, not an expanded bibliography of his output.
The Evolution of Useful Things: How Everyday Artifacts-From Forks and Pins to Paper Clips and Zippers-Came to be as They are, on the other hand, is proving overall kind of dry. I must be on a real curmudgeon streak these days - Just as Well I'm Leaving: To the Orient with Hans Christian Andersen is mildly disappointing. The blurb on the front of my copy proclaims Booth is "funnier than Bryson"; I've mostly fallen-out-of-love with Bill B. so that didn't mean much to me - this one's not bad, though the humor seems forced at times. Andersen was quite the eccentric character! |

I'm having a terrible time finding time to read anything recently and even when I find the time, I can't seem to find anything that interests me.
Recently, though, I picked up a copy of Richard K. Morgan's Altered Carbon and find myself devouring the book. Maybe I'll finally finish a book this month. Last edited by jgaiser; 02-10-2011 at 11:57 AM. |

Just finished Mr Paradise by Elmore Leonard and starting The Hidden Reality by Brian Greene which, if I understand the reviews correctly, I'll be reading in another universe.

Demon Lord
I'm currently reading Demon Lord by T.C. Southwell. It's free at Smashwords and I'm really enjoying it. It's fantasy.

I like to think Martin Luther King, Jr. would have been proud of her. Although it wasn't in Georgia, she orchestrated a moment in history where truly "the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners" were "able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood." The book is well-written and I highly recommend it. The Somerset Place historical site is located near Creswell, North Carolina. I've only been there once, but hope one day to return. |

Busy with Rock Rats, the second novel in the Asteroid Wars series. Not bad, but not as good as the first one.

I've been reading The Choice by Suzanne Fisher. It's free for Kindle right now. (That's the Amazon link.) I've wanted to try out this new Amish fiction that's been getting popular. The first one I read I didn't like, but this one I've been really liking. I'm almost done.
