Over here they terminate the short-term contract, wait a few months and then rehire against lower wages. That's what happened to my daughter and her student-job.
There are still a lot of firms closing down and the houses don't sell easily.

I really hope you get to keep your job! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. And in the meantime: stay motivated!

Your situation is pretty similar to mine. As soon as we get a new government, the institute I work at will cease to exist. We don't know how long the procedure will take and if we'll be transfered to another organisation. But we'll have at least another 6 months as well

The motivation thing is difficult in this situation (as I'm sure you know); it's the uncertainty that's a killer. But I am doing my best!

Over half a year ago my father lost the spare key to our store's safe. He searched everywhere but couldn't find it. This week he finally had a duplicate key made, which cost €37 because it was one of those old fashioned keys. He picked the key up this morning and wanted to hang it in the spare-key-for-the-safe place when he saw the original spare key, where it belongs .
