We live on the 6th floor. We spent a lot of time and energy netting off the veranda so Felicity the cat can have a safe place to sun herself. Lately, she's been spending a lot of time and energy creating way to bypass the nets. Sunday my wife found her in our neighbor's veranda, meowing because she couldn't get back to ours. Today I found her blithely strolling along the 2" guardrail OUTSIDE the net. She was perfectly happy. I almost had a stroke. And I can't figure out how she got there?!?

I guess! I can't find a cat-size break in the fence anywhere! Oh well... I just spent an hour with more garden netting and the hot glue gun. I know it's futile, and I know that she is perfectly content to walk along 2" rails six floors up. It's just that MY heart can't take it.

Woke up this morning to discover that someone had deleted my (only) video from my You Tube account - it said I'd removed it but I know that wasn't the case!?! Very confusing and even more so when you've just got up argggh.

Uploading it again was a minor hassle. But now I'm really concerned about security. I have changed my login information so not sure what else I can do to stop someone hacking my account.

And was it meant as a personal attack (which isn't a nice thought) or just a complete coincedence that this was my first time on You Tube and adding a video in?

Woke up at 7am this morning because someone from one of the 2 cafés that have a garden thought it was a good idea to smash bottles so more would fit into their glasscontainer. After years of no problems it has been happening more lately so it seems a talk with the owner of both cafés is in order.

memories are filling up my head. they are everywhere in this city - every corner, every street lamp, every bookstore, every road. they'll make my leaving much harder than I'd thought it would be.

it's always hard to leave the city I love, no matter how many times I've done that before.

Change your password at the very least, probably better to open a new account though.

Thank you sounds like good advice. I don't think I've ever had an account hacked before - well not that I've noticed.

While I was looking for an internship today, I heard a woman explaining her broken arm. Apparently some punks had a wire set about 15-20 cm from the ground on the sidewalk. What kind of mentally disturbed creature does that kind of sh*t?!?! The woman was around 45 y. old, what if it was someone in the 70-80 range?! As my chemistry prof says:

The thing one remembers the most, I think, are smells. The aroma of fresly made food, the way the river/canal smells. You're getting already home-sick before you're away from home.

I had my i-Tunes account hacked once and Visa phoned me to ask me wether I had ordered such- and- such from iTunes. Had to change my Visa-card then.

What a hassle! At least it was noticed and sorted. I've taken to removing my credit card info from almost all online sites now. I use gift vouchers or paypal where possible. Not that I'm paranoid!

It is difficult though. I have to do a thorough search: what information can be deleted from the internet? I tried once to get an article off the internet; but that was so hard.

Good luck with that, you may find they are just doing it for the fun of smashing glass in a way that wont get them in trouble.

Am I the only gentleman (ok I use the term lightly) that doesn't like being called "Sir"? I feel really old when someone says that, it's not like I'm a spring chicken, but I'm not quite ready for the long dark dirt nap. Sheesh, kids these days, in my day.... damn, I was only half joking
