I hope that's strictly an opt-in feature. I wouldn't be so keen on having to answer "no" to a bunch of questions at the end of a book.

"Would you like to rate this book before closing it?" "Are you sure you don't want to let your friends know you finished this book?" "Would you like to see a recommendation on what to read next?"

I don't mind sharing highlights, but my notes are personal, often unedited, and definitely not ready for prime time. I'll be turning off the share notes feature when I eventually get the update. I hope it can be done without disabling the share highlights at the same time.

The Note Sharing feature can be disabled separately from the other features you mention (it's on by default in 3.1).

As far as I can tell Before You Go cannot be turned off. It's an extra screen at the end of the book, not apparently part of the book itself. You can avoid it by not paging past the end of the book.

I actually wouldn't mind recommendations, but all I've seen so far are Tweet/Share, and Rate This Book, options.

Installed and works fine, does not break the screensaver hack either...The location numbers have been removed until you press menu but you still cannot remove the location bar, hopefully in the next update

Wow, just last night I was trying to help mom decide what reader to get and the only reason she didn't want a kindle was because of the locations instead of page numbers.

Haha nevermind, just re-read it and saw you have to go to the menu to see them... ridiculous, I guess she won't be getting one.

Is there a screenshot of what the new page system looks like? I wasn't crazy about locations, but it was more useful than just a bar, which provides no real context as to how big the e-book is...
