Green teas from China and from other origin were similar, but a few Chinese green teas were outstanding (for my palate of course). Accordingly to this article Bi Luo Chun tea is ranked first among Chinese green tea. I didn't think it was any different from other green teas, although I will give it another chance by ordering it from another source. As far as I understand each green tea may have different levels of quality. Sencha has 8? the price is quite different too ![]() However, as I said I loved two other Chinese green teas. One of them is ranked number two in the article mentioned above. It is called Dragon Well on NBTea, or Longjing tea here. Another is White Monkey Tea. In my opinion they are almost as different from other green teas as Japanese green teas are different from all others ![]() It might be worth to investigate for you ![]() Btw., since you know about NBTea and like straight Rooibos, you might like or even love Lapacho ![]() A cup of Lapacho, before I go to bed in a few. |

BTW. after I had that gunpowder after lunch to day, about an hour after, i felt a nice tingling in my hands. So what? well I sort of remember old sensations ... than I had to go and get my train, and was very pleasantly surprised by my elastic steps, a new energy, like I felt quite well. Is gunpowder tea stimulating ?

I will get Lapacho of course. I am sure that in Milano my pusher has it. I am finding the green teas quite interesting. I have been very surprised by a latent effect of the gunpowder I had to day, to be verified thursday when I will go back to the office. Alas I have to stay home tomorrow and wednesday, to mind my business and to have good time. Actually tomorrow I have the plumbers and I take the day off wednesday out of pure irresponsibility. Alas is because I cannot check the stimulating properties of gunpowder before Thursady. |

![]() I asked NBTea about their 1 tea spoon for a mug: Quote:
the only problem is that very often both of them say one tea spoon for their version of a mug/cup, when the difference is almost double ![]() Quote:

heheh. I know. I shouldn't complain too much.
On the multiple Sencha's I am sure it is very similar to other teas where the first flus which is smaller and normally deemed to be a better quality, the second flush which is excellent and larger but still more rare, and then all of the pickings in between. You pay more for the rarity and the time of the harvest then anything. I tend to go with the Sencha and Bancha that are organic from Tea Gschwendner and not worry too much about the higher quality stuff. What I get falls into my price range and tastes great so I stick with that. If my delivery notic is to be believed I will have my Rishi shipment tomorrow. Lots of new Pu-erh to experiment with and a new tea cup. Yeah! |
