I should not think they charge more here, I only do not find them cheaper than the others. No, sorry, just had a second look there are one that are quite a lot cheaper than Kusmis. Others are fairly the same price. You are right, I could save some. On the other hand, I saved some when buying the Kusmis as they were on promotion.

And now imagine sitting in Mlle. Chanels rooms in the Ritz having a Samowar boiling next to you and one of those tempting little tins stitting next to it...

![]() Although, I am dreading going to London in the end of February. Visiting many(2+2) premium tea shops saturated with London+ prices. Knowing that, I manage to spend money on teas now?!? 3 tins and 2 packs by Taylors of Harrogate today ![]() |

Hi dreams.
All rooibos is not like that. I drink plain rooibos of high quality (that is what my pusher calls it), loose leafs. It does not taste much. But it leaves a very pleasant mouth and it makes good company. I drink it cold even, and in hot weather I take it with me instead of the usual plastic water bottles. In the office it is a very healthy substitute of coffee, that, good and stimulating as it may be, at the end of a "long" working day can give me the shakes and maybe worst. So, my friendly exhortation is : drink your rooibos plain, and get flavors from the herbal tea's. |

![]() I agree with him. Rooibos with flavours are different. I ordered a sample pack a few months ago. About 12 samples of rooibos+flavour. My verdict - straight rooibos only. Then again, apparently I am like that with all teas. Black, green. Only straight teas. |

I buy my tea from a droghiere. A drugstore. Down town Milano. Apparently a very serious establishment. Traditional, whatever that means, maybe that people buy tea there since a number of years. Nothing fancy. But he has the stuff. He takes the tea that I want from big cans and put it in paperbags and write on them what the tea is. I pay about 4 or 5 euro for 50 gr. Maybe double for some fancier stuff (by the way that's the price for extragood foie gras, of course with tea you go a much longer way, while with 50 gr of foie gras you get about a couple of bites). I buy small quantities (50 gr tipically). In any case the drogheria is on my way to work. I drink mostly Keemun and Oolong so of those I buy 100 gr at the time. He has only one Keemun and one Oolong (actually the Oolong costs a little more but not much, maybe 6), I have started with Sencha now so i will get that in large packages also, but then it is 3 teas in the main rotation and their individual use has to go down anyway, as the number of liters of tea that I might drink in a day is what it is. I could not care less for the packaging of tea. I might care more for the packaging of other articles. But the ones that really interest me are not for sale anyhow, for money at least. I mean pocket money. Tea is such a good thing. Simple and at the same time deep. There is no need for fancy stuff, both around it or into it, just water actually. Whow, after such a show of pseudo zen bs, i'll go and make myself a ... what, i was almost saying something to drink. a Tanqueray plain (he drinks that blue Imperial College stuff, Tanqueray is stronger and it has a stronger flair, that other one drinks those thick peat extracts, that one drinks microbrewery suds), but I gave up drinking. I'll smoke something than, no wait, I gave up smoking (12 October 2010). I'll ... Yes, that might be a good idea. Bye. |
