B. thanks for the did good

In this case it's even not women-specific its just that I don't care about these maximal occurences of shallowness in other men as muchas at women for obvious reasons

what KKs idea had inside was worth the "wow"
actually 't have been 2 ideas both covered by her description

1.) that there is an awful lot of things that don't really matter, but most people think they do.
2.) if the "one with you" is somebody you can count on (and vice versa) in such minimalistic surroundings (as she described), than you both are endlessly strenghtening each other. regardless how f up things may come, you both 'll make it and be stronger than before.

Pity is, some people only get this in their heads after they successfully ducked when faced with the boney ones scythe.

and she got both things in 1 image.

Funny you would say that, I didn't even notice the difference in Thailand from here in Malaysia, not that I doubt you, or that I am in anyway disagreeing with you.

I have always maintained that if in a foreign country where you have no idea what's safe/good to eat, there's always McD's. Now I'm no culinary genius but I do like my fast food, and McD's has almost always been a safe bet, then I came to Malaysia. Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing really wrong with the food, it's the way the food is prepared and served. Malaysians haven't had enough time to really embrace American fast food, they really just don't get it, because they don't eat it. Ever been to a McD's and seen all the staff get food from someplace else, or pack a lunch?

Picture opening a fresh Big Mac expecting a burger that resembles the picture on the menu and getting a burger that looks like the local football club used it for practice, everything in disarray and you need a fork to eat it. The preparation is abysmal, it's like they just threw everything in the box and hoped it would all come out right, there are trained monkeys that could do it better.

The problem in Malaysia and I suspect in other Asian countries, is that the people that are making the food for you have not bloody idea what it is supposed to taste like, or for that matter understand the nuances of good American food. I don't know where the beef for McD's in SE Asia comes from, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't come from the US or Canada and now that you mention it, it is far too lean. The french fries never have salt on them, again this is because most Asians don't use salt like Westerners do.

In general the food service in this country is so bad it's a laugh and Malaysians are the most food obsessed people I have ever met. Food is brought out to you when ever they are ready, so if you happen to be with a couple of people that have a well done steak and you have a salad, you will get you salad half an hour before their steaks arrive, and god forbid you ask them to take the salad back until the steaks are ready. Don't get me wrong I'm not talking about a stall in the food market, I'm talking about a 5 star hotel dinning room, where you are paying RM500 for the steak and the steak is either raw or so overcooked Florsheim's would want them for sole material.
Someone mentioned coffee refills, there are never refills of anything here thats free, most places will charge you for the ice, not the tap water, if you are that brave to actually drink it.

But lets face it, if a short order cook from Alberta (picked at random) was asked to prepare sashimi, having never eaten it and given only a picture to go by, he might make something that he thought and anyone else that had never had it would think it was ok, but I doubt it would be up to par with what you would get in Osaka.

I guess my rant in spent.

It's all perspective I guess.

Well, yeah! You have to have something to put the food in, before you go out and get it.

when I was growing up we would very rarely have fast food and only occasionally Mickey D's, most often it would be Taco Bell. my Dad's best boyhood friend became a Doctor and also had a ranch in Estes Park which was about an hour away from us. we would go up there about every other weekend when I was a kid. his wife was also a Doc and pretty busy. Saturday lunch we would always have KFC. those were the only times I ate that growing up. I would occasionally get it for my kids. now that I only eat chicken from the butcher that is permanently off my menu. I do really miss their coleslaw and mashed potatoes and gravy though
