				Ford produce Sony Reader cases

I posted a comment on this in another thread which was thought ‘a bit off the wall’ so I thought it deserved it’s own thread.

Unutterably silly or serious - you choose ![]() The case itself is constructed from black canvas type material internally with a finer weave externally. Padded between the layers of material with a high density foam layer about 1/4" thick, and card. External dimensions are not a lot more than the reader. though some twice as thick. It has pockets / sleeves internally behind which you can slip each side of the standard Sony cover, holding the reader securely in place away from the edges of the case. It has a zip closure allowing the cover to open flat. The best bit is that it adds only 100 grams to the reader as against nearly 300 grams by some of the proprietary offerings. Why buy a reader that is lighter than a paperback then weigh it down with a heavy cover so that it then weighs like a large hardback. The combination of this case with the Sony one I think adds more drop protection than many of the others. Plus if you are paranoid there is room to boost the padding. And you get a free Ford (Europe) Focus with each one ![]() ![]() Share with us your solution to the What case problem here !!! This reminds me of the gentleman in Atlanta that had filled his entire basement with a model railroad. He offered to sell the railroad and then throw in the house for free.

Excellent! About a year ago I bought a used Focus, and it has exactly that Warranty holder. I'll have to see if it holds my BeBook! A much better use than all those dumb papers.

Found an older Personal phone book cover that the Prs650 in case will fit. It works like a book cover. Is a little larger than the reader cover, the reader cover fits into it just as a small personal phone book would and is padded quite well. Made of what may be leather or some facsmile. The corners are brass,so if I do drop it,I feel it is very protected. It would likely fit many other readers too.

11 1/2 inches wide 8 1/4 tall If a person had some stiff board and some quilt batting as well as some material that they like they could make one in the same way. If they already have on of the covers this would give more protection. One drawback. Does not fit in pocket or purse. Well unless you carry a very large purse that is. Jar Jar Binks.
