Hi,
I am having trouble getting the content server to run. It might be caused by the new update (0.7.43), but since i just started to try this feature i am not sure. The log states: Code:

It is indeed a bug, triggered by having a user created category or a custom column that becomes a category. Will be fixed in the next release.

Is this related to the same problem? I'm running windows XP
I updated to the new version of calibre as well as added some custom columns: 500 Internal Server Error The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. I am getting the same message from my Mac server.
If you have an older version downgrade and wait for the fix. Happy Monday Archon |

Content server log
This may seem obvious to some people, but I would like to know how I clear the Content Server log.
Just deleting the entries from the log panel does not work. There does not appear to an option to clear all entries in the UI. Where does the log file reside on a Windows 7 computer? Thank you. |

It's in the calibre config directory, look in preferences->miscellaneous

Go to Preferences:Miscellaneous:Open Calibre Configuration Directory
I may be wrong, but if you shut Calibre down and remove the log file it should re-create the file next time it starts up with a new file. Since I have a copy on this computer that has never had the server started on it and it does not have a log file. If you break it you bought it though. (That's my CYA statement). Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Archon Dang it Kovid beat me to it. Fastest keyboard in the west. |

Does anybody else still have this problem?
I'm running 0.7.46 and the content server fails as described above. I have three custom columns - a date, a 5-star, a tag. The 5-star & tag columns are also user categories. When I export the books to a generic library (no custom columns) and run the content server from there it works as expected. |
