I'm glad you like it, Javed. I thought it was pretty interesting, too. I only found it because I learned that some of the members of the group are also members of the Decemberists. But this group plays more cleanly and they seem to have a style that is what I imagine to be old style European. I don't know what I mean by that but it really struck me as quite unique. If you figure it out, let me know.

VR. By old European style, I perhaps sort of understand what you mean. The accordian definitely contributes to this feel (but it is more than that; such as the tempo is quite captivating and has a nice feeling energy to it). Here is another piece by them that I found, thanks to your inspiration. In the clip the musicians can be seen playing live.

Right, Javed. I mean the accordian pretty clearly gives it that sound but on another level all of the cuts I've heard so far seem to have a feel that is part Western Canadian folk, part gypsy, and part something else that just kinda feels like a Belgian festival from a hundred years or so ago. I don't know. I've never heard a Belgian festival a hundred years ago so I can't tell you what I mean.
