Years ago, if you went on board the good ship Beaver in the port of Boston they gave you a nice cup of tea (for free). Now (that is a couple years back) nothing of nothing. Shame on them. Yankees ...

I had two cups of rooibos raspberry&vanilla.
Only for one more left. After that I will drink rooibos baked apple (the better part of me said it is OK but she is not in the mood, so I have to drink it). It is better than rooibos raspberry&vanilla. The flavour is not so pungent. No need to add straight rooibos.

Next? Yorkshire Gold dust.....lunch time

ahhh electricity is our friend...

We got 10 inches of heavy snow last night. We lost power at 6:30 PM and got it back at 3 AM. My poor husband does not like to read so he was antsy and bored and generally more annoying then the dogs. I was sitting on the couch, reading on my Kindle, and petting puppies.

The only downside, outside of antsy hubby, was no tea or hot cocoa.

I was under the impression that in the USA you usually don't use electrical kettles but you have stoves? We even discussed it somewhere on the forum?

We have an electric stove. When the electricity goes out, there is no way to heat anything.

We could have cooked on the propane grill outside or setup one of our backpacking stoves but the snow was coming down fast and heavy. We are probably going to lose a tree or two. The drive to work too 45 minutes instead of 15 due to streets with trees blocking them. It was a very impressive snow.

No, I don't have any idea whose birthday it is. I just felt like singing the song.

Yorkshire tea to start the morning off correctly, along with some hot biscuits (that's American biscuits, not UK cookies.) I like fresh home made biscuits!

There is snow in the mountains surrounding Kyoto, so I can't get out of town. It sure does look pretty though.

Oasis flavored black tea from Lupicia, via ProfCrash. Much stronger flavor than the Adagio teas, I'm delighted to report. If the other two samples I got are this good, then I'll be placing my own Lupicia order.
