1st Recipe Help
Hello,
Trying to make my own recipe. I know a decent amount of css and html but python is new - and so is Calibre as well as the Kindle. I am trying to make a recipe from this feed: http://www.springerlink.com/content/...nt/?export=rss found at this page: http://www.springerlink.com/content/1566-0621/ When viewed via Firefox's LiveFeed RSS reader it gives titles of recent articles, and if you click on the titles it takes you to a new html page with an abstract of the article and a preview image of the first page. When Calibre automatically grabs the feed, it converts it to a .mobi, adds a jpg image for the Calibre cover, and adds a metadata file. So far, so good. However, when viewed on the Kindle, I get the standard 2 clickable links when viewing the 'section list': All Articles ...... (7) [where "7" is a number representing the number of articles] When I click on "All Articles" I get a huge headline for the first article and no text. The next page is the second title. There are 7 pages total, one for each article. When I click on the number I get a very nice list of the Titles with 3 lines of the abstract under each. I can click on the titles and it takes me to those pages mentioned above that only contain the title. When I look at the .mobi file in a text editor its obvious that the full text of the abstract for every article is embedded in the file, so that is comforting. The issue is, how can access that data on my Kindle? I am sure that there is some way to edit the recipe to adjust the output, but I am totally new and this and have only wound up frustrated so far. If someone would be kind enough to help me correct this, perhaps I might be able to do future ones on my own and won't have to pester the board ![]() Thanks in advance.
