The third resteep of Pu-Erh Toucha.

Not much taste left. I think I put a bit too much water this time. I also think I like stronger flavour anyway. So, 2 resteeps for me (maybe for the third resteep half the amount of water). The first two were heaven
I am going to order it from two different shops and compare. I used a tea pot that I thought will not be used again

P.S. I promised long time ago to post some pics...of my tea cupboard and teashop in Prague....I must keep my word.

When I finished 1.5 of Pu-Erh toucha pot, I felt tipsy.
Can you feel drunk from drinking tea? Apparently yes. Taking into account my health problem, I thought that the dizziness comes back. I complained to my wisest 2/3s and she said that it has nothing to do with dizziness but with drinking good Pu-Erh. She has read that it is possible to get drunk from this tea.
All I want to say WTF??? but I think I better google for it.

Looks like it is possible to get drunk by drinking tea. Tea drunk is the term.

I'm drinking a cup of Pu-erh, trying to get stoned. Well, actually, I met friends for a late lunch today and ate a big plate of jambalaya. Astra assures me Pu-erh is good for the digestion. And it's lovely in my cup:

I haven't tried it yet, but I got some new black teas in the mail. They are from Teavana. One is called Black Dragon Pearls, and supposedly can be steeped multiple times? I've never had a successful resteep with a black tea before. Anyone?

It is the Bodum. I can't say enough about it, I love it so much. It's never too hot to hold on the outside, but the tea stays nice and hot. And isn't it beautiful?

Well I woke up Sunday morning, With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled through my closet for my clothes, And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
An' I shaved my face and combed my hair, An' stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

Sunday mornings can be difficult at times. But today the sun is high (overslept!) the air is cool, and I'm ready to start the day with a big mug of Ahmad's English Breakfast tea and a fresh batch of biscuits! I remembered to all in the baking powder today.

It is a pretty cup! Do they make it in a large size? Regular mug size doesn't work for me. I 'chug' my tea rather than sip it, and a 'normal' cup gets finished too quickly.

Then is it possible that the same thing is going on with Ahmad as is with Lipton? Different teas for different countries? My tin is very, very different. It's an octagon rather than a rectangle, red rather than green, with a lovely painting on the front.





That could explain the difference in tastes too. (sorry for the photo. I shot it with my phone.)

Stranger and stranger... This tin cost me ¥950. 225gm of Yorkshire Tea costs me ¥1750, 225gm of East India Company Royal Breakfast tea runs about ¥2100 and their Assam even more costly! I wonder what accounts for the price of tea in different countries...
