Sorry gingercat I meant what you bought to be able to buy the books. What actual card was it? I keep seeing people mention sony cards, borders cards, connect cards and dont want to buy the wrong sort. |

Normally that doesn't validate, as normally there's some checking of the zip-code/state, or the check against the credit-card address, but it's possible that it's something such as the CC info's not available for them to validate the address, just the validity of the card itself, or similar.

vouchers! Actually buying books directly might not be a bad plan as normally for a mastercard or visa the checks for a small purchase are less and may not involve checking of addresses.

I got a friend to purchase a $100 gift certificate from Sony and entered it. Once I reinstalled version 1.1, I was fine. I've downloaded quite a few books without any problems. I live in Ontario. Doug

Just to say hi to everyone. I had friends going to the states and they very kindly brought one back for me. I have mangaed to get the free classics without any problems and have also purchased vouchers from Leaping Gnome of this forum with no problems at all. Really enjoying the experience of e reading. Wasnt sure how i would take to it becuase i adore buying new books and reading them (Sad but true). Lots of people are asking lots of questions as to why the uk is lagging behind the rest of the world with regards to this technology. I can only say im happy to join the many e readers and have to strongly disagree with your mans Steve Jobs comments yesterday Hi to all |
