I don't know what numbers are involved but it appears to me that if a sales outlet forces me to sell my product next to a sign that essentially says "don't buy this," I find another outlet.

I dreaded having to take Econimics when working on my Master's, but I have to admit that the prof for that class actually made it quite interesting. Came as a complete surprise to me. I really thought I'd have to fight to stay awake in class, but his classes were so lively and interesting that my only problems came when doing homework for that course. THAT was boring!

I was. And although I switched careers right after completion, it was the best decision I was ever coerced into! Just having those papers changed my life completely and 500% for the better, and made the next 25 years a living dream come true. I continued on for one more degree but oddly enough that had almost no effect on my working life.

Don't mind the MP3's so much (there's also something streaming radio), but now I can't work on my Calibre Database! (I'm generating content, check if it works, change a few things and generate again, so lots of waiting time...)

Absolutely. I moved half a world away from friends and family just so that I could do what I love. It meant giving up many things that most people would hold dear, but we only get to go around once, so while we live, let us live. It has been worth it.

The motto I have under my Family coat of arms reads that way too;
Dum vivimus, vivamus.

(My Latin isn't good enough to know if the grammar is correct! )

Hmmmm... I feel for you. Regardless of how fast our computers are, they all wait at the same speed...
