Our roads were all iced over this morning. People were sliding all over the place. One guy went sideways and almost into the building I work in. Then of course I almost flipped walking across the driveway because the landscaping company didn't show up to put salt down

Never heard of that book, so I had to look it up. Found three versions on Project Gutenberg - English, German, Dutch. I'll look at it later on.

There are some by that author in the Library here .... do a search for Selma Lagerlöf

It certainly could. I remember when I was teenager and I would go out in -30C weather in nothing but a short, tight, spring jacket with a low cut t-shirt underneath cause I thought I looked cool
