Larger font size doesn't make it any better for me when my reading glasses are off. It's still fuzzy. I can see it, but it's very uncomfortable, so I always read with glasses on.

I never could read with my glasses on, and it's even worse (better?) with the reader. My eye doctor wanted to put me in bifocals this last time and I told her no. I just take my glasses off to read.

My Dad had glasses that were just the top half of the bifocals. (He could read perfectly well without glasses - just couldn't see things at distance.) To read, he looked under the glasses (what's the opposite of "granny glasses"?).

I usually use reader with glasses on, just occasionally without them 'cause I find it tiring.

I use my glasses only because I have difficulty reading for prolonged periods of time without them, although I can read longer without them using my ereader than reading a paperback, mainly due to the crispness of the text.

![]() I need my glasses to SEE clearly, not only to read, so I always wear them, otherwise I see clearly only what is only few inches away from my nose. |

I usually just enlarge the font, but there are times when due to poor light I must wear my glasses

Well, I don't wear Reading Glasses, but I do wear corrective glasses for an Astigmatism!!! ARGH!
I wear them all the time and they hurt my ears. People told me I would get used to them but that was a year ago now so they were wrong. When I go back I'ma get me some much lighter frames that don't desire my demise. |

You got me there. Not even glasses can help me. But once I heard it. I had accompanied an unspecified person to the optician to help this person to get a new pair of glasses. We took a seat to wait for this person's turn. It was a busy moment. I overheard the customer that was being serviced before us declaring: Give me some that will make me look taller. In the family this is a standard joke now. |

![]() I've had to wear glasses ever since I was a little girl, I think I got my first pair when I was 5 or 6. My eyes have gotten better over the years, but I still get headaches if I don't wear my glasses at work or while reading. That being said: I never ever wear my glasses ![]() One of these days I'm going to buy designer glasses I think, maybe that will make me less reluctant to wear them (seeing how much money they will have cost me). |

I've only needed glasses recently, so I usually wear them. It's probably more because I've always thought glasses were cool, and since they do make the letters a little more crisp on the edges, why not?
PS: I also always wanted braces, or bracelets, as I used to say when I was a kid. |

I wear contacts when I'm out and glasses when I'm at home. Without one or the other I would have to hold my Kindle very close to my face in order to read and this is very uncomfortable to me. I also have astigmatism which doesn't help things at all. With corrective lenses my vision is just about perfect so I can easily read at the smallest font setting. After almost thirty years of wearing glasses they don't bother me at all, although I do consider contacts to be a godsend.
