I speak english (obviously), do fairly well in german, the longer I am there, the better it gets. I can understand a fair amount of spanish, used to speak it pretty well, but I got a cross in my wiring and whenever I try to speak it anymore it wants to come out in german. I used to know a smattering of tinglit, hopi, apache and navajo. fairly fluent in dog, cat and horse ![]() |

![]() you need to take the miscreant immediately out after eating, and then once every 15 minutes until there is action. never scold a mistake, and always praise a job well done. take the pup to a place he has already done his business, bring any poos he has done in the house out to that spot and always return to the same spot |

He had been very good, four days in a row without an accident. Then he lost it on Sunday, Monday, and this morning. He has been with us a week and we started his housebreaking. His foster parents had 12 other puppies and let them pee and poop where they wanted and did minimal clean up. We had to give him a bath as soon as he got home because he had poop in his fur. I know it is going to take a while to train him. Today he went out 15 minutes after eating, then 30 minutes after eating. Then he started pooping, was stopped, and finished outside. We played outside for 10 minutes or so, came in, and he peed. (sigh) I know there will be some road bumps along the way and we cannot yell at him but this morning was a bit frustrating. Ah well, he will get it down. |

But they are so cute and cuddly. Once he is potty trained he can join us safely on the bed and have a bit more freedom.
Well once he is potty trained and has decided that shoes are not fun chew toys. Totally worth it though, even when frustrated, totally worth it. |

Ehm.
My wife wanted to have a cat but she knows my aversion to cats so...she said she doesn't need any pet as long as I am around. I behave no better and require no less attention ![]() |

heheheh
I got to pick the first dog and my hubby the second dog. We both had veto power, although there was no way we would reject the others choice. Well, there is no way he would reject mine. (winks) I am on pot two of Three Kingdom Mao Feng. It is a Teavana tea, pretty good but I probably will not replace it when it is empty. |

I just received a phone call from a friend whom we are trying to convert. When he visited us last Saturday he complained about blocked nose for two weeks and that he was told to breath water (well inhale vapour) with eucalyptus. I told him we have got a sample of eucalyptus tea. He said he would like to try it. He left off with the sample... He says that after 3 evenings of drinking the tea his nose has completely cleared. Moreover, he is a postman, so he got to wake up around 5am everyday. He has been doing it for the last 20 years or so and he is 56 now, it is not easy for him. He always wakes up 15-20 minutes before alarm clock that is set for 5.10am. Today, he slept like a wooden log and woke up with the alarm! He said he cannot remember the last time he woke up with alarm. Maybe you should try? Who knows, it might help. Last edited by astra; 01-18-2011 at 03:31 PM. |

I agree with you. Think of the fun. And about the speed of any spoken language; try to get the gist of what they're saying, not the details. But there's a proverb; knowledge is power. ![]() In my cup: cold Arabica-coffee. |
