Freeshadow, my regular dive computer does have user-replaceable batteries. But this is really more of a dive watch that also has some dive computer functions such as depth, time, logs, and a rapid assent alarm (that I can't hear with my ears, but everyone else within 100m can! I can tell when it goes off though as everyone around me begins to frantically look at all their computers at the same time wondering if they are the ones in alarm!

But it makes me wonder why, if I can replace the batteries myself in a dedicated dive computer with no problems, why I can't change them in a simple watch?!?

Steve, if votes matter, and we can vote, what's the link? If your book is DRMFree then I know there'll be more than just one voting against the error.

Yes it still has a battery, but rechargeable so you don't have to change it.

I don't get it, why would they tag it with something so obviously false? People baffle me, sometimes. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

I guess I have to type something out, first to clear my mind and second because I'm in the right mood.

I went over to a friend's dorm room this morning. She asked me for some helps with Microsoft office and I was an 'expert' in her eyes, so to say. After she had understood all the points, I didn't go home right away 'cause it's quite cold outside and I felt that there were some tones in her voice wanting me to stay. And as I had thought, she told me about some aspects of her hard life away from home.

Her family is living in the countryside, and her parents have difficulties raising 2 more little brothers of hers, so they can't support her very well. She has a part-time job as a private tutor, but doesn't have any vehicle to go to the work place. She walks all the time. Her English is poor, but obviously she can't afford a night course to improve it. For that, her grades would be a mess since English is considered a serial killer in our academy.

She has never been far from home and it's been almost 5 months since she moved to the city to study at our academy, her countryside is near our place yet she hasn't come back to her hometown to visit family as the train ticket seems expensive to her. My friend is unfamiliar with the speed of city life, and she has homesick.

I have to mention that she is so naive. She loves literature and has been dreaming of being a writer, which is senseless to be studying at Diplomatic Academy. In her eyes everyone is good, there's nothing bad in life, etc. From her way of using words, I made out that she's way too romantic and unrealistic, and for some moments I was worried that she would be easily hurt, she's fragile.

We stood on the corridor talking for some more minutes and I had to leave in the end although she wholeheartedly invited me to stay for lunch. Her story lingers and I guess I couldn't take more of it 'cause I'm not really used to be a good listener. She's a kind one. After the final tests are over, I think I would do some things to help her.

@Rumpleteaser: You or your boss should apply some cheap liquid-plaster .... or even clay .... to fix that hole in the floor before a customer steps in it!! Even a very temporary fix is better than twisting another ankle! And if a customer got hurt, the business could get sued, ya know.

Contacted Amazon, and of course they played the dumb card... "We can't change tags if they don't fall outside our guidelines."

Then they actually said "We want our feature to be something that our customers find useful."

I responded:
"I refuse to believe that if someone put inaccurate or offending material in your tags... say, "sex with donkeys"... that Amazon could not remove those tags. Those tags are inaccurate, hurtful to me, and impact adversely on my sales.

I'll bet if Harper Collins or Random House said something, you'd remove them without a second thought. Thanks for the support."
