IMHO, the point being missed by many is that, in any profit-oriented endeavor, the price is set by what the market will bear. Ebooks can be sold, in certain circumstances, for more than paper-books because people are willing to pay more for them regardless of what they cost to produce. If consumers were unwilling to do so, then the price would come down, or the publishers would stop making them available.
