I wouldn't do that to my son. I'll get another kitty soon enough, need to make some money first! ;o). and I want to build a completely enclosed cat run outside before I get any more kitties. I don't mind taking them out on their harnesses, but I think they would enjoy being able to go out when they want

Just got a call from the watch repair center. I got lucky. It will only cost me $178.00 USD to change the battery in my watch. And take less than three weeks. God bless Japanese efficiency.

My watch cost me $305 after I screwed them down from $399. And I thought that was expensive. But I never have to change a battery because it has a solar panel built into the face and only needs light. It has been going for nearly 2.5 years great! The last one lasted 7 years before it failed so I thought I would have another. The no battery change sold me.

Well, yeah. It wasn't broken. I don't think I'd want to pay $1200 just to have the battery changed. $180 is bad enough!

I thought Rolex watches was supposed to last you several lifetimes before breaking down. That's the whole point. You spend a fortune and expect it to last. They should come with a lifetime guarantee for the price most of them cost.

I have two watches. One for everyday use that can be used as a backup when running. It's got a sensor you attach to the shoe and it will calculate the distance you've run, very useful gadget :

This one I need to send in to have the battery switch every other year.

For the most part I run with a GPS-watch. This doesn't work well as a normal watch since it's very big and looks strange on the wrist for normal use:

I just checked one of my books pages on Amazon, to discover that someone has added DRM and DefectiveByDesign tags to my non-DRM'd book!

Somebody out there (or in here?) is out to get me. !%@&*#^!%!!!

No, you shouldn't. Can you remove tags somehow? Or complain about it?

@Stitchawl: when my ma bought her 1st divecomp she got the hint to look for a model where the user can replace the batt by himself - just because of the reason you named

@Exer: do you really wonder?
the mere idea to eat what flashes before my inner eye as "american breakfasat" for breakfast nearly makes me faint.
ah you know: tower of pancaces with sirup+toast and eggs+a bowl of cereals and milk+ <- so far for what I imagine.
ah, and what's called here an "american style" pizza has about 2-3 times more dough
I sometimes wonder how it comes that the majority of US population hasn't exploded yet.

and I love to eat, can do; and in fact eat a lot because I somehow use it all up. without no sports at all - I HATE physical activities.
so when someone like me who eats a LOT 's asking himself where an average american stores that ammount of a meal...

I can vote against them, though it's just 1 against one... if there are more than 1 tag, it's still there. I don't know if I as an author can request the tags be removed... I guess I'll have to see (something else I shouldn't have to do!).
