Bloke has gone to Noosa to pick up very sick(dying) dad to take him to his boat at Tin Can Bay. He was very cranky he couldn't get there last week when Gympie was under water (Gympie is on the way) I suspect he is getting more unreasonable as time goes on.

Those turbines will take care of a few of those geese.

I was walking in the local park a while back when a Canadian Goose just fell smacking the ground in front of me.....apparently it had hit the high voltage lines above!

it flopped around a bit, clearly discombobulated then took a running start and was off again!

Forecast is for 55F here today....probably windy....but my son is flying in from Alaska where it's been -25F the last couple of days.....hope he doesn't get heat stroke!

"HIGH WIND WARNINGS are in effect for the Front Range foothills from Boulder County to the north. Wind gusts up to 80 mph are possible in the warning area. Gusts to 60 mph are possible in the Denver's western suburbs."

We typically get tractor-trailer truck blown over when this happens. Pretty intense driving into an 80 MPH wind at 60MPH = 140MPH. EEEEK!!

It's the crosswinds that blow the trucks over though...
