If you're really paranoid you use an on-line backup but it would probably work best for smaller files since online storage can be quite expensive. But for backing up purchased e-books it's quite a good solution

Back up....don't talk to me about back up. You want to know about back up, I'll tell you about back up. Back up is . . . . .
One ON the premises, one OFF the premises. Then when you get a call at 2:30am to tell you there has been an explosion at the office.....you think...OH both back ups are on the premises tonight aren't they.
Why didn't I realize that the new cafe downstairs that had all those Harley Davidson riders visiting at all hours of the night might have had other motives other than drinking coffee.
