My new favorite site, since I like to read series, and also like to start at the beginning. The website is done by Kent State, and there is also a book available for about $32.
Extremely useful link! Thanks
I don't read the Star wars EU books anymore, but I just put it in to give it a try and all the series are right there - in chronological order! My new go-to website for this stuff

Thanks for the heads up. I just re-wrote mine. You still need text in the short version box, just add to it in the extended box. Or rewrite the whole thing hehe. Up to you.

And the new description says Book One of The Passion Trilogy now right there on the front page. Done and done.

Request for authors who write series books
My request would simply be: Stop doing it so much.

Write more true stand-alone novels. But if you must write a series... at least make each book in the series stand on it's own merits. And always remember... that to leave a reader "swinging in the wind" at the end of one book in a series takes no literary talent. Entice me to read the next installment in your series with your amazing prose and your fascinating characters, not with the "dangling" of a marketing carrot. That cheapens your work.

As an author and publisher of ebooks, I quickly learned to include the volume number in the title of my ebooks. There is simply no reason for a reader to have to search around to find the first book in a series. I do it like this: The Interglactic Peddler - Volume 1, etc. When my readers go to Smashwords or to my website, they can quickly see the order in which I created the ebooks. Only makes sense to me.

In my books, the plot, conflict and issues are resolved at the end. Beginning, middle and an end. The last short chapter is the lead in for the next novel, to give a hint of what's coming. And the end of book two the last sentence is the lead in to the final book which will have a conclusion that ties the consequences from all three together.

I know the evil you speak of, and I refuse to subscribe to it.
