2011 Holiday Plans

So, we're just a day shy of 2 weeks into a brand new year and surely it's time for a holiday?!

Who has holiday plans for 2011 and where are you going?

Amazing how early people's thoughts turn to holidays

We (wife, children, parents-in-law, brother-in-law and his family) are going to Lake Como in Italy for a week in late July/Early August.

That's all we have planned so far, but no doubt other things wil crop up during the year.

Beautiful. I visited Lake Como last June for a day (stayed in Milan).

Just 4 days away from the next holiday - Martin L King Jr's birthday. It's good for time-and-a-half or a 3-day weekend depending on your schedule. I'm working, so that means an extra half day's pay; which I plan to use to buy covers for my new ereaders. Thanks Marty

Disney World four days in March. Not a huge trip since we live only a 90 mile drive from it. We get a FL resident discount so get to go lots.

Road trip up the east coast to WV and MD in June for a week.

Maybe an impromptu cruise if some good last minute deals come up. If you can go on a few weeks notice or less they can be had for up to 75% off.

For Christmas this year, extended family heading down here where I will be hosting Christmas for 20+. Even the son-in-laws families will be coming. Looking forward to it.

2011 should be a great year.

Planning to go to Wolverhampton, where I studied, for three or four day in May or June.

In July/August I'll be house/cat/dog sitting at friends for three weeks (not really a holiday since I'll be working, but still). And if my aunt and uncle decide to go away for a couple of weeks after the summer holidays I'll look after their cat and house too.

A good way of getting "free" holidays - I'll be doing two weeks cat/house/car sitting in London for my son at some point in the summer. Being a "foreigner" my wife thinks it's a real treat to have all of London on hand!

It's a fair way off, but I'm going to Egypt for two weeks over next Christmas. It's a place I've wanted to visit for years, so I'm really looking forward to it.
