I’ve just heard from a friend who lives in Queenslad.

He says it has been raining heavily at his place for three days now.
His wife has done nothing but stare through the window.
If it doesn't stop soon he’ll probably have to let her in.

I'm glad you're able to keep your sense of humor during all of this. Sometimes that is itself can be a lifesaver!

As a Vietnam War veteran, I can testify that you've never heard so much joke-telling and laughter as when you're in a bunker and mortar shells are dropping in all around you.

The other 2 kids are safe as well.. They did not want to evacuate by helicopter, but moved to higher ground with friends - that way they could take their animals...

We have had severe droughts here for at least 10 years... We had water restrictions - every household got a timer to ensure 4 minute showers, No washing cars/houses/patios and no watering plants, and we really learned how to conserve water during those years...

Now we have water everywhere, and we are again asked to conserve water due to the dangers the floods cause... This time we have to conserve drinking water, and make sure it's boiled before use.

I'm up pretty high... although not nearly as high as Toowoomba... The only problem I have is getting out of here... All roads are cut, and I can't even get to work. But... I still have power.

My son and his family lives in Goodna... They have had their power cut, and will come here for a few days..

I cannot believe the devastation throughout Queensland It's just too much... The loss of lives, the loss of houses and belongings... All the businesses whose buildings, with everything in there, have gone under... It's going to be a HUGE cleanup, when it's all over... They reckon it'll take at least a couple of years to get back to normal.
