Using the same leaves twice. The first cup is steeped, the second cup is resteeped. Some people like doing this and others don't. I resteep everything but I know people who resteep blacks, oolongs, and greens but not herbals and whites.

Traditionally, it was one spoon per cup and one for the pot.

So, what do you do? Just leave the tea in the infuser sitting on the coaster? Until you're ready for the next cup?

It is one teaspoon for 6 ounces of water. Most peoples mugs today are in the 12-16 ounce variety which should be taken into consideration when making individual cups of tea.
Yes, I have a small dish that I leave the infuser in while drinking the first cup. |

I just finished a cup of te Momo Oolong Super Grade. It is alright. The peach overwhelms the flavor of the tea. Not something I am likely to drink a ton of.

Still waiting on my Adagio order so... in the meantime, I tried to make the best of what I consider a "mistake" that I bought.
I grabbed a box of the pyramid bags of Vanilla Caramel Truffle black tea. The first cup I sweetened, and still didn't like it. This cup I sweetened more and added milk. It helped... I'll probably end up drinking it, rather than giving the rest of the box to my neighbor as I had been considering. It makes me understand the term "dessert" tea...I can see myself drinking this after a meal instead of having dessert. Since I don't have much of a sweet tooth, it may take me awhile to finish the box, though. |

Having a dessert cuppa - black cacao mint - the one that tastes like thin mint cookies - I really am liking this one. (Teavana)
[and yes - I leave the leaves in the infuser and re-steep for a 2nd cuppa] |

Oh my. I think I owe Stitchawl an apology for laughing at/not taking him seriously with his suggestion of cleaning out space for tea, and sacrificing spouse/children to make more room. I bought a couple of jars today, and sorted just what I have now - remember, the Adagio order isn't even HERE yet - and already find I need more room. I think I'm in BIG trouble. I won't be sacrificing Chris anytime soon (okay, EVER), but I'm definitely going to have to rethink using the top of the pantry cabinet as my tea station...not even close to enough room. I also need more jars. MANY more.
