I've got my cranberry tea brewing.
I just have to butt into this conversation ![]() Croatia is a BIG coffee drinking nation; when here people see me order a tea at a cafe, they'll often ask me if I'm feeling sick. The tea selection here is pretty terrible, in general, although I've noticed it improve considerably in the past few years. Now, I LOVE coffee, but I've always been a tea lover, as well. My mum is the same way - she has 2-3 cups of coffee and 2-3 cups of tea a day. I've drastically cut down my coffee intake recently, for health reasons. I used to be a big smoker and a big coffee drinker, and it really wasn't agreeing with me. And you know what? I still have 3 or 4 coffees a week, but lately it seems to be more out of habit that me actually enjoying the coffees. I really enjoy my tea, though ![]() I realize that my ramble added nothing to the conversation, I just had to get it out! |

I always think drinking coffee is just part of the life as a workerbee. I don't know anyone at my workplace who doesn't drink coffee every day. The other day we had a meeting somewhere, we got two cans of coffee and 4 teabags for 9 people. And there were 2 left when the meeting was done.
I like both coffee and tea. I always drink a coffee first thing when I arrive at work, and I have a dolce gusto machine at home. But I also really like tea. But in my experience, many people like coffee or tea, almost never both. Drinking a last glass of water before heading off to bed. Sweet dreams everyone ! |

that's kind of odd. even though we do consume huge quantities of iced teas, most places, even fast food places would at least pause and ask iced or hot?

In the South, tea = iced tea. Period. The only question is sweetened or not.

I don't drink coffee at all. Chris has tried. I love the smell of it brewing, but can't stand the taste. These days I bounce between diet dr pepper, juice, and tea. I guess this summer won't be much different, only the teas will be iced (and probably MUCH better quality than I've been using) instead of hot. I can see myself making a lot more flavored tea this summer too, some of the ones I've been drinking hot seem like they'd be even better iced.

Yes you're right - under about mid thirties. Generally they are not big on tea drinking with only 1 exception that I personally know and she's very old before her time!

When it is hot I usually resort to still bottled water, not too cold. The hotter the weather, the less water should be cold (I have read somewhere that our stomach doesn't like cold water and it coincided with me disliking cold water too).
I find it odd. Before I moved to Israel, drinking water without sugar was the most absurd idea. It took me 8 years to start drinking still water. Since then I don't drink any type of coke, any type sweetened juices (maybe once in a blue moon or on holidays) or tea with sugar. A cup of Lapacho is almost ready (at least in my mind), off to bed. |

We brought home our second dog today. Cooper is a 30 pound 14 week old Lab/Shepherd mix. He is adjusting nicely. So far Caya has done really well with him although she has found a few toys that she needs to defend from him.
