It might be tasty, even if the shape didn't come out the way you wanted! The crust looks nice and crusty.

It was, I just had really weird shaped slices I always bake my own bread, nothing beats the smell and taste of fresh-out-of-the-oven homemade bread! I even do it the old fashioned way: make my own dough with the food processor, shape it myself (that's obviously where it went wrong this morning ) and then bake it in the oven. Yum.

Getting ready to head out to a Distaff Day celebration with my spinning guild. We're having dyepots (natural dyes) and I'm going to dye the yarn to weave a custom tartan one of our members has designed.

I like baking my own bread. Sometimes I make the dough with some oliveoil, dried tomatos and herbs. I then make an Italian braid of it.
We also have a mill nearby where I can get different breadmixes.

Excuse, another post. (thought I had this multiqoutingthing worked out...).
Betty, an exciting article about Distaff Day; especially the ' spinning the thread of human destiny' phrase in it, sparkled my imagination.
But you are working in a very ancient tradition in that guild. That must give you a kind of historical feeling?

It's so unique it's almost a shame to eat it! Brilliant. I've made muffins which normally come out lopsided but my bread always looks bog standard as I use a bread maker.

That sounds so delicious! I bake bread all the time in our bread-maker - I am sadly not that adventurous though. I just stick to a wholemeal loaf and teacakes! Need to expand my repertoire

Waiting until the water of my footbath has cooled down just enough for my feet to bear it.

It was incredibly busy today. Normally January is quiet, but I think due to the bad weather in December people have waited. We've had more customers today than on any other (Satur)day in November/December!
