Must be something in the water I'm reading the Riftwar series by Raymond Feist. Still working my way through the revised edition of the first 2 books in omnibus format. I have all on my Kindle except for the first one of the Conclave of Shadows.

Not yet. We need a subforum for it before we can do it in a non-confusing manner.

I read Outlander because an ex-Gf loved it and wanted me to read it. I found it slow, unbelievable, dreadful, dreary, awful, and those are the good points.

Finished "The Breaking of Northwall" by Paul O. Williams last night.

After all the good reviews I've read, I was disappointed. The whole book felt contrived. I've already purchased the second book in the series, so I'll try it before I make my final decision on the series.

Listen to this poetry (Not really a spoiler since it's not very far into the book):
Spoiler:

My eyes were lost, swimming, floating free in the shimmering lagoon of her steady, even stare. Her eyes were large and spectacularly green. It was the green that trees are, in vivid dreams. It was the green that the sea would be, if the sea were perfect.
Her hand was still resting in the curve of my arm, near the elbow. The touch was exactly what the touch of a lover's hand should be: familiar, yet exciting as a whispered promise.

I started "The Indifferent Stars Above" by Daniel James Brown last night in hardcover (from the library). It's about the Donner party. We shall see how it goes!
Me either. Still trying to finish Her Royal Spyness (I put it down to read the new Julie Hyzy White House Chef novel).

LOL!! Not unless they time travel. Amelia Peabody is a creation of Elizabeth Peters. She's an archaeologist in Egypt about the time of Petrie and Carter.

Well, she could be an ancestor as the Peabody in the In Death series is in the future.
