when I have purchased ebooks which have errors such as this I have always complained. Every time I have received a re-fund. The latest was a Clive Cussler book off iTunes which they without question re-funded the money.

But this was a complaint to the vendor. What we need is an effective way of getting to the publisher. Penguin has never even responded to any of my complaints.

Unfortunately, books don't come with "complaints" contact info. It can be hard to know who to address a complaint to. I recently let my Tor editor know that there were some minor problems with the ebook of my SF novel Sunborn, and he contacted the digital production people, who responded right away with a willingness to correct the problems. (They also let me add an Afterword, after the fact.) So it can work. But even there, I was told it would take six weeks or so for the corrections to work their way through the system. I don't think they're up yet.
