Sorry, I didn't mean to contradict you. I realise being there trumps hypothesizing by strangers. I just meant to comment on the phenomena in generic terms.

No iKindle as yet, as me and my brain are still in volatile negotiation with each other over it.

From limited experience with a gay coworker, I'd have to agree. We flirt shamelessly with each other; and it means absolutely nothing except we're good friends. I'd pick him to go hang out with at the mall over any g/f I have, LOL.

In that case, though, I think flirting with no real desire for romance happens more between friends who know and trust each other -- not between people who've just met.

And I think you'd love an iKindle. For reading, it's great. 10 ounces of books verses a pound and a half of iPad. Of course, the iPad apps are killer! I love writing on mine.
