Traditionally they are made on Christmas Eve, some people do make them at New Year, as well, with lots of powdered sugar. I've never seen them sold on the streets, people tend to make them at home.

Wow... I'm speechless... well, almost, anyway. I noticed in one of the author's that I have friended on facebook's comments (I know, bad grammar...) that Aaron Elkins is on Facebook. I sent him a friend request and got a personal message back. This is somewhat on par for me with receiving a letter from the Queen of England...
I have read and enjoyed his books for years, he is one of the authors my mother got me hooked on way back when (ok, so 1982...).

I'm studying for a German quiz that I have tomorrow. I always have trouble remembering the gender of nouns when it isn't immediately obvious from the ending.

I am worrying like hell about Mr M. He didn't come home last night! We have been out looking for him. (I even walked the streets at 2am).
