I could tell you some horror stories about walking barefoot in the garden. My dad is a beekeeper, so you can imagine how many times I've been stung in my life just by stepping on a bee. I also stepped on half a dead mouse once ... But I've never stepped in cat poo (even though we always had a cat or two running around in our garden), or any other kind of poo

I still refuse to walk in a garden with shoes on. That just doesn't feel right

Not that I stepped into poo...I sort of drowned in it some 20 years ago

We had an allotment and 1m deep big hole for compost. My dad just brought a whole lorry of liquid cow poo the other day then we started to cover it with weeds, thus obliterating the border between ground and the beginning of the hole...I think I should not continue, it is fairly obvious what happened when I came to the hole to empty another bucket of weeds.

I have stepped in dog poo because they do it on the path and leave it lying around everywhere. Cats tend to bury theirs and you rarely see it. So I can't see how you could step in cat poo?

Yeah, you probably can't actually step in cat poo without trying really hard, but we should give Astra a break here on the poo paranoia since he apparently fell into a large pit of poo!

OMG.

When I was a little girl I sat down on a styrofoam ice chest. The lid broke and I fell into the chest which was filled with water and lots of very wiggly minnows (for fish bait.) Scarred me (emotionally) for life!

Because of course I am STILL teased about it.

when I was little we were building a cabin in the mountains. it was on a hillside so it had concrete pillars underneath it to make the floor level. these pillars were into the ground about 6 feet as well. when the holes were dug there had been engineering tape all the way around to keep you out of the holes. the day the concrete was poured, the tape was removed. for some reason I was running from one side of the site to another, I tripped and fell into one of the wet cement filled holes. it is just like quicksand. I was terrified by that for years

QUICK! I need help!!

I create dishes randomly, based on what's in my pantry and what I like to eat. Amazingly, they all turn out pretty good (some better than others... although that accidental cinnamon chili wasn't the best, but that darn chili powder is identical in looks to the cinnamon!). When I try to follow a recipe, I invariably end up substituting and changing things up, and it's no good.

So... I made this great soup with beans (black and great northern) and chicken stock and ham last week. Oh, and random spices. I want to recreate it as best as possible (nothing recreates exactly with me), but we don't have anymore leftover ham. So I found canned salmon and thought it might work. Then I found a can of spam, which would work even better (mana of the islands). So my question is, since both cans are pretty small, how would it be with BOTH cans mixed in? How does those flavor profiles mesh? (I know a lot about cooking. I watch top chef. I just want my flavors to come through

)
