I like the Capstone LED light because it uses standard AAA batteries which are much cheaper than the CR2032's (which the Kandle uses for example). Built in lights draw too much power from the reader battery and significantly shorten the recharge cycle which is a major consideration when backpacking away from a power source. Most of the top clip-on lights can be used on the side of the reader to better cover the entire screen.

I got the Industriell cover. Not the easel, the regular one. I can slide the light in the top, side or bottom of the cover. The clips hold the nook tight enough that the pressure keeps the light in place and the light runs off of a AAA battery.

I have the prs-300 I got the basic cover for it http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Digital-R...=pd_rhf_shvl_4 and I use the GE booklight here, the clip is perfect for clipping onto the side of my cover. It works great! http://www.amazon.com/17228-Lights-B...3641948&sr=1-1 |

I don't like weight or balance change from any of the three clip-on's I've tried (Verilux cold cathode, twin-stalk Mighty Brite LED, and a Great Point semi-circle LED bar). I may need to try one of the 'worn' lights. Head lamps look too dorky for my taste even though they make a lot of sense to me (I use one for emergency vehicle repairs in the dark). Forget the brand but there is a neck-chain design that I need to try.

Meanwhile I get the most satisfaction from the Sony lighted-case (LED-on-a-stalk) because of the balance in my hand. Uniformity is good for a 6" screen (PRS-650) but I was unhappy with uniformity on my PRS-900 screen. |

Try a smaller, more fashionable design like this: Mammut S-Lite Headlamp -- it's only $20 from REI, has three brightness levels, uses 1x AA battery, and doesn't look dorky. |

Right now I'm using this light on my Kobo

http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/ebooks...ht&pageSize=12 I wouldn't recommend it. It only lasts 2-3 weeks and the replaceable batteries cost almost as much as the light itself. It also dug into my gelaskin and ruined it I'm looking for a new light that can clip onto my cover.

I use my regular little Fenix light for reading. The neck lanyard it's on keeps it handy for work, and functions tolerably well for reading my PocketPro when sitting down.

I do have an ear light I used to use. But I found it annoying. You had to keep your head and the reader at just the right angle or you'd not get a good enough light coverage of the 6" screen. Overall, not a good idea.

I'm not saying head lights are bad. Just I can say for certainty that ear lights are bad. |

I use a Mighty Bright LED Music Light -the one with 2 LEDs on goosenecks. I bought it as a music light but probably use it just as much with my Kobo. I would really recommend these as they are very sturdy, very well made and worth the money.
