Seems to be an apple thing.... each of the web browser apps I've downloaded from the app store have come with adult content warnings.

So it is true that the eReader app is fully G rated, but, if we have links in the app, that directly download content, then IMO that needs to be taken into consideration. I've seen some free "sample" content from other eReaders that has curled my toes. As a dad, I would not find it appropriate for an 9 year old. Hi, Micah. I was wondering if there is a way that the Bluefire Reader (specifically, the BAM Reader branded version) will allow a user to purchase multiple items during one transaction? I've been unable to find a way to load up my 'shopping cart', if you will...
If it doesn't currently, do you think that this will ever be allowable? Thanks! |

The app currently only supports 1 at a time downloads. We'd like to add multiple downloads support. Possible to do, in fact easy to do - poorly, but hard to do well (e.g. gracefully handle temporary interruptions in connectivity, etc) Important to me that we do it well. It is currently mid-way down our "important" features list.
I would imagine that once we add that feature, most stores would want to offer it to their customers. |

Today, we added a new store to the Get Books area of Bluefire Reader: Bookrepublic is an Italian bookseller. This is the first of many international stores to come in 2011. To all of you Italian speakers out there - enjoy!

Micah,
I just downloaded bluefire. It works great with ADE content! Kudos to the team that created it. Unfortunately, I've also got a jailbroken iPad, and it freezes when I exit bluefire. I'm running 4.2.1 with the redsn0w 0.9.6b4 jailbreak. Good luck fixing this bug, other than that, it's a great app. |

Another option you might consider is allow a list of books that one has already read. I hate browsing and wondering if I already read that book, or downloading it and finding out that, yes, I have read it. Thanks for all your work. Ken |

I want to take a moment here to urge everyone to BACK UP your eBooks in a convenient place. It is easy. Tether to iTunes, then use the file sharing feature to copy all the books in your Bluefire Reader library to a folder on your computer. Especially important if you acquire lots of book via your device. e.g. I get books from BAM, Feedbooks, BooksOnBoard, BN, Google, Seattle Public Library, etc on my iPad, and every weekend I back them all up on my laptop. I've never needed to restore from the backup, but if I ever did it would be soooo much easier than re-downloading them from everywhere. This is one of the real niceties of apps like Bluefire Reader that give you access to your own eBook files. So use it!

I keep my books on my laptop generally. On iPad only those I am reading now - no more than 20 so I do not need folders or adv search etc.

Is there a limit to the number of eBooks that Bluefire can handle? I have nearly 400 books in my Bluefire library on my iPad. I prefer to have my eBooks sorted by Author but every time I start Bluefire it starts at Recent. When I tap on Author, or even Title, the Bluefire app crashes.
