Not as far as I know. Looking at the Change Log this happened in the 0.7.30 release and it mentions throttling emails to gmail/hotmail to not be more frequent than one every 5 minutes. |

I recently came accross calibre (a few hours ago iirc lol) when I was seperatley searching for software that would convert my e-books and software that would manage my collection. Not that it's huge, only around 16000 books which is nothing compared to my digital comics collection but I digress. Until today I've been manually organizing my books into folders for each author and it's obviousley quite a tedious thing to do as well as to rememeber by whom each series of books was written by and find them within a window covered in named foders so calibre is going to be a very handy application to use (I'm currently in the process of adding all of my ebooks into the library at once lol). So here's my question: Why does calibre have to have a seperate library folder and why does it have to copy ebooks into it rather than use existing folders that are in place? After reading the question myself even I find it a tad to simple and broad so let me try and clarify it it somewhat. I use a piece of software called comicrack to organise and manage all of my digial comics and manga and just like calibre by default it has an empty library until you set folders that it scans within the preferences menu, now I've set up comickrack to scan the folders I already use to store my comics and manga and tweaked the preferences so that it scans during start up and removes missing files etc but it doesn't make physical copies of the files and just like calibre it uses metadata and has the ability (with certain plugins) to download and save the metadata for comics that are added to my library but doesn't have the added annoyance of having to delete files and calculate double hard drive space when adding a large number of files into the library. So why doesn't calibre work in a similar fashion and if it does but requires a bit of a work around to do so how do I go about it? |

not that it's difficult mind you, just tediouse but that's more due to my collection not having standard file naming system than any fault of calibre lol Thanks for help ^_^ | ||

I have a Word document which I then saved in RTF format. It contains a large numbered list. When I convert it to ePub, the numbers all display as "1)" rather than sequentially. Any way to fix this?

Would it be possible to make ebook-convert.exe to fetch the images from the internet (i.e. if the image is referenced with an url)?

For the life of my I can't get calibre to 'talk' with my Archos 101 Android tablet. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. I start the server in calibre. On my tablet, I open up WordPlayer v3 on my Archos. When I try to find the library through WordPlayer I click on "My Calibre Library" and enter "192.168.1.100:8081" as the url (which I obtained through ipconfig, and added the server port listed in calibre.) I keep getting a "Calibre server not found" error. The 'test server' in calibre brings up the appropriate page on my desktop computer, but that url gives me the same problem on my Archos. Any help would be appreciated. |

The "Test server"- button calls the server on the loopback address instead of the external IP address of the computer. Can you reach it on the computer by typing the address as you typed it into the tablet? Can you reach it via browser on the tablet? Is the tablet in the same IP range as your computer is? If you have a combined router/AP, then sometimes the WLAN devices are not allowed to talk to the wired LAN devices, which I'm assuming your computer to be, for security reasons. Is this the case on your network?
