or like LCDs "persistang image"

the reason I ask is that I would like to use a standby screen (picture)
but not if i will get either of those or if it will drain the battery faster

And no, it uses no more power. E-ink screens only use power when they change.

As Far As I Know (AFAIK)

As Pinecone stated, E-Ink screens do not suffer from burn-in and the stand-by screens do not use power.
