Just in Time For Christmas and only 99 cents!
I had to announce that Devil’s Eye is, at long last, AVAILABLE! Just in time for the holidays, this short paranormal romance/urban fantasy
![]() In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this brief, action-packed introduction to Mick and Sophie. Those of you who’ve read Forsaken By Shadow will remember Cade’s bartender BFF Micajah Guidry. Several of you asked for more of him, and here he is! Trouble. That’s what wolf-shifter Mick thinks when a beautiful woman appears in his New Orleans bar with a hurricane at her back. His first impression is confirmed when Sophie starts asking questions about his missing waitress, Liza. Mick will do anything to rescue a member of the pack he’s made for himself, including forming an unlikely alliance with a woman with a badge. I hope you enjoy it, and that this story will tide you over a bit while I work on new projects! Have a very Merry Christmas! And, pssst, tell your friends! ![]() |

My latest hardboiled mystery/suspense novel LEAST WANTED just became available on Amazon, BN.com and Smashwords at the introductory price of 99 cents. This book is the sequel to IDENTITY CRISIS, which was the #1 hardboiled mystery on Amazon last summer.
Product description: Maryland lawyer Stephanie Ann "Sam" McRae has two tough cases that quickly turn worse, when both clients—a poor black girl and a white, middle-class man—are accused of murder. Sam discovers the seemingly unrelated matters share an odd link: the seamy world of girl gangs and computer pornography. More people die as the murderers try to keep her from learning all. Sam races to find out the truth and clear her clients before she becomes the next victim. Reviews and recommendations: "LEAST WANTED is a brave, heartbreaking, and thrilling book with a complex plot that takes attorney Sam McRae on a dizzying tour of several circles of urban hell, against a backdrop of white-collar crime. I loved it, and I admire Mack for writing it without flinching or suggesting easy answers. It's a sequel that outdoes IDENTITY CRISIS and holds the promise of a great series." -- Timothy Hallinan, author of THE QUEEN OF PATPONG and CRASHED "In LEAST WANTED, Debbi Mack serves up a solid mystery plot wired together with high octane suspense. Washington, DC attorney Sam McRae is smart, tough and dedicated, but her latest cases in LEAST WANTED push her to her limits. Defending two clients accused of murder, she finds herself dealing with girl gangs, pornography and crazed killers. For mystery and suspense, it’s Laura Lippman’s Tess Monaghan in Baltimore and Robert B. Parker’s Spenser in Boston, but Sam McRae is the woman to have at your back in Washington." -- Austin S. Camacho, author of the Hannibal Jones mystery series "Sam McRae is back and as brash as ever, with a colorful cast, a relentless plot, and enough twists to leave you breathless. Debbi Mack has carved her own niche in the mystery pantheon." -- Scott Nicholson, author of DISINTEGRATION "Fast-paced and brimming with dark, twisting plot turns, LEAST WANTED will keep crime and mystery buffs off balance and guessing until the very end." -- J.T. Cummins, author of COBBLESTONES "From its clever—and ironic—title to the carefully drawn characters ..., LEAST WANTED is a worthy sequel to Debbi Mack's first crime novel." -- Jeremiah Healy, author of THE ONLY GOOD LAWYER and A STAIN UPON THE ROBE Shameless enough for you? ![]() Hope you'll consider giving it a try. Happy holidays! Best, Debbi [In-text promotional links deleted - MODERATOR] Last edited by Dr. Drib; 03-10-2014 at 12:30 PM. |

Jason’s instincts warn him that the girl is in trouble. The following day he sees her in an upstairs window, but when he asks to speak to her he is told that there is no young girl living there. Why? Twisted Perception
Synopsis Porter, Oklahoma holds a dark secret, and troublesome dreams plague Tulsa Police Detective, Kenny Elliot, who grew up in the small town. When a bizarre murder catapults Elliot into his past, he’s brought face to face with the fabric of his nightmares. A shiny necklace dangles from the mirror of the vehicle where Lagayle Zimmerman, the victim, is discovered. Nine years earlier, in Porter, a similar necklace swung from the mirror of a Mustang that harbored the mutilated bodies of Elliot’s friends, Jonathan Alexander (Johnnie Boy), and Marcia Barnes. Most of the town believed Elliot killed his classmates, but no arrest was made. Following the advice of Porter’s Chief of Police, Elliot left town, never to look back - until now. Risking his job and his sanity, Elliot digs into his past to solve the murders and expose the truth. |

Endless, author of Issla: A Vampire Living in the 21st Century “...The author paints each scene and battle so clearly that I felt I was in the middle of the action.” --- Mike Monahan, author of Barracuda. “...The Gateway delivers straight up heroic fantasy with unapologetic hack and slash action.” -- Tracy Falbe, author of The Rys Chronicles “...fast-paced, action-packed fantasy.” --- Debra Purdy Kong, author of Taxed to Death and Fatal Encryption “...An adventure into magic and fantasy that pulls you in and does not let go...left me wanting more.” --- R.M. Putnam, author of Destiny’s Warriors “...the action never stops.” --- Susan McLeod, author of Soul and Shadow Thater tells this tale “...in a voice as pretentious as Tolkein’s.” -- Dennis Batchelder, author of Soul Identity and Soul Intent. “...an excellent foray into dark story adventure.” -- Jacamo Peterson, author of A Hard Place: A Sergeant's Tale, and Blademaster of Norda. THE HARBINGER OF DOOM SAGA The Harbinger of Doom saga centers around one Lord Angle Theta, an enigmatic warrior of unknown origins and mystical power. No mortal man is his match in battle. No sorcery can contain or confound him. No scholar or sage can outwit him. But for all his skills, he is but one of us; a man, a human, who shares our faults, our dreams, and our ambitions. He boldly strides across the land, fearless, peerless, and cloaked in mystery; all his will bent on righting such wrongs as he deems fit. Until the day the Gateway opened and turned the world on its head. On that fateful day, Korrgonn came and washed away our dreams. And his outre' realms of chaos set their unholy mark upon our world and claimed it for their own. Only Theta and his companions see the enemies aligning against us. Only they foresee our end coming -- the end of civilization, the end of the world of man. Only they can hope to turn the tide of madness and preserve all that we hold dear. But no man, not even our greatest hero, can stand against the Lords of Chaos and the dark armies of Nifleheim at their command. Fiends that infiltrate unseen within our ranks, that tear down our temples and our traditions; that devour us from within, unseen, unknown, unheralded, and unopposed until the hour grows far too late. Through the murk and mist that hangs before our eyes, one man only sees true. One man pierces the veil of magic that blinds us all and marks the world as it truly is, revealing secrets, secrets of Angle Theta, so horrifying as to shatter a man's mind and call into question the very nature of good and evil. Join us now on our journey back to the days of high adventure. Rubies and Other Gems - the Novel. Women's fiction with a time-travel twist.
Lily’s life isn’t going well. Her husband is clueless, her children are rudderless, and she’s had a trying day in traffic. It's little wonder she seeks comfort in her dreams, unaware that her grandmother’s rubies have transported her back through time to a safer, saner existence. When she realizes her dream lover is a real man who lived and died years before she was born, her problems mount. Despite her fears that her marriage may not survive her unintentional infidelity, she’s entranced by the simpler nature of times gone by and can't resist going back, but only after imposing strict rules of conduct on herself. But a miscalculation keeps her away longer than planned, and she's confronted by an angry husband on her return. Aware she can't make amends and steer her children in the right direction unless she stays in the here and now, Lily vows to leave the past to the past. But in her attempt to take away the jewelry's power, she inadvertently sends herself back without her return ticket, the rubies. Thanks for reading and I hope you'll check it out. Merry Christmas everyone. Joyce |

The female Jack Bauer or Alex Cross, that's how Lorne Simpkins my main character has been described. And the scrapes she gets into, well there's... Now that would be telling wouldn't it? It's received 3 5 star reviews this week alone! Mel |

I wanted to pass along a nice new review of The Losing Role from Man of la Book: http://manoflabook.com/wp/?p=1095
Reviewer/blogger Zohar Laor writes: "This is a well-researched and fascinating book ... with a refreshing twist; it is told from the view point of a German soldier -- and a likable one at that." The Man also asked me some questions: http://manoflabook.com/wp/?p=1110 He also asked me to take part in a giveaway -- enter to win The Losing Role at his site between now and Jan 4. There will be three winners total. Thanks! Steve |
