PRS-350 HELP! Error "Failed to download content (-2999)

Hi all. I can't download books from Waterstones

Any help greatly appreciated. Help!

Without any actual detail, you don't make life easy... but first comment always, "Have you authorised the eReader yet?" Does Sony software say it is authorised or even earlier, have you got your Adobe ID to allow authorisation?"

Hi, thanks. I have registered the Reader at the Sony website and Reader Library is authorised (via Adobe ID). I have purchesed 3 ebooks via waterstones.com but when I click on Download link Reader Library opens and then I receive the Error popup "Failed to download content (-2999). Thanks.

I repeatedly got the -2999 error when trying to download one particular library book. I got conflicting information from my web search on the error, so I couldn't fix it. I was able to retrieve the book when I tried again the next day.

I think it may have something to do with a timeout when Reader Library tries to verify the DRM with the server when it processes the .acsm file, but that's more of a guess than a real diagnosis.
