My first newspaper article about my novel, Radium Halos. Ottawa, IL is the town where my novel takes place. It is historical fiction, so the events depicted in my novel actually happened there.

Hello Shelley,

I read your book a couple of months ago, and it's still on my K1.

I was very impressed with the research which you had done, and the fact that the characters were completely believable, plus the fact that the whole story remained with me for a long time after I put the book down.

As an aside; I remember thinking that I would like to read something similiar
regarding the *Triangle* factory disaster that had that much research.
