I ordered two from Dell for $99, and they are in already even though they only promised after the New Year. I don't know what Dell US is like, but the Canadian site ships stuff fast.

With color and backlit I didn't order it expecting great battery life, those are power suckers. Out of the box it is in "torch mode" with brightness at 70%, which I dialed back to 10% to be easier on the eyes, and should be more power friendly. I just finished a book on my Libre and will be doing some reading over the next few days to check it out.

Wink Aluratek Libre Pro present

I bought an Aluratek Libre Pro for my granddaughter thinking she could grow into it and have it to use. I know which first books I am going to load on her reader, but I'd like to know other things I need to do before I give it to her, e.g a firmware upgrade? How can I tell if I need to upgrade anything in particuarly

Thanks in advance!

Posting your question in this thread, which is not about the Libre Pro, but
about a 7" color media player with a reading app, may not get you many
replys. You could just start a new thread instead, and you would be much
more likely to receive useful replies.

Luck;
Ken

Update to the thread in case people are searching for information.

Myself and another owner of this reader posted up more detailed review info in this thread.
