National Defense secretes
Truck routes for disposal of Nuclear Waste
Secret Service Plans for protecting the President
Everyone's medical records

If you really think that Free Speech covers your right to do so, you would have said so three pages back, instead of repeating over and over that this man's rights are being trampled and we are accusing him, condemning him, and waving the flag. That fact that you keep avoiding this is a pretty clear indication that you too believe there are things that need to be excluded.

I'm not playing your game. I've stated exactly and precisely what my opinion is about the topic under discussion. You continue to try and spin and twist and avoid admitting that you do not understand what free speech really is.

And that should held address the issue. My concern with that is that the sheriff that did this appears to be a total wack job so it may not do anything wrt freedom etc.

I know that is your opinion, but you are having the same issue as others in separating freedom of speech from the topic of the speech.

If that is a valid case ... then Amazon and all other book distributors certainly need to be going over their inventory with a fine tooth comb because it has all the sudden become illegal to mail a book which describes an illegal/obscene activity.

I guess I'd need to read the facts a little better but I'm kind of dubious as to what they are trying to pull off here legally.

Find something illegal the guy has actually DONE and then throw the book at him and the world will cheer. Right now they are just spinning wheels though.

Personally I think this is the work of a grandstanding sheriff. There's no need for Florida to go to the expense of extraditing the lowlife, booking him, feeding him a processed turkey dinner and putting him up in a jail. Then we have to pay for the cost of a trial. Let some other jurisdiction do it.
