Tradition from when I was a child: we don't have Santa coming to us, as St Nicolas has been there on the 5th of December;but we all get a nice, interesting, lovely book; under the tree, to be opened on Christmasmorning.

And yes: bought on internet this time.

Australians are going so crazy with online shopping from the USA over the Internet, that the Australian Government has been forced into an enquiry, by the Australian retailers, about whether or not to put a tax on all purchases under $1000. Parity with the US dollar has meant a boom in overseas purchases. Prices are about half what we pay for them in Australia, and even with shipping, are still under what we pay here. I have a parcel being delivered to me tomorrow from DHL USA, except all the pressies inside are for me........merry

The first video is a song I first heard while watching Serendipity—another excellent movie to watch during the Christmas season. The second video is one I found last year that's just plain adorable.

I can't find a real choral group singing 'The 12 Days of Christmas' on YouTube. All the videos seem to be kids groups or comedy teams.
