I'm compulsively early. It drives my wife nuts. She's happy to arrive at a meeting a minute before we're due, or five minutes after. I'd rather arrive a half hour early and either browse in a book store or wait in the car so we can arrive five minutes early. To me, there is no excuse for being late. "The bus was late" is not an excuse. There is always an earlier bus. A flat tire is not an excuse. Leave enough time to fix it if it should happen. In the military, not being where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there is called 'Failure to Repair' and it is a criminal offense. I just think it's rude to be late for a meeting. It affects other people's schedules. The last time I was late for anything was 1987. I'm still embarrassed by it.

Honey, I was raised 58 miles north of Amarillo. They're USED to crazy people. You have to be crazy to live there and enjoy it. Besides, Amarillo is home to one of the U.S's most eccentric millionaires, Stanley Marsh III. This is the guy who is responsible for the Cadillac Ranch. Plus a whole bunch of weird street signs:

They probably thought you were refreshingly NORMAL.

Cold Arabica-coffee. Am thinking of asking a small thermos-cup for my birthday next week.

Are you going to get a 'cold' thermos, or a 'hot' thermos?

I'll probably miss your birthday so let me say right now that I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed mine!

I wonder if this makes it a 'flavored' coffee...

Do you prefer it over plain coffee? Perhaps with some Frosted Flakes or maybe some TimTams? I think we can start a whole new genre of tea and coffee!!

I would like a hot thermos in the morning. The rest of the day I'm happy drinking cold coffee.
Thanks for the wishes. Always a strange day to have a birthday at the end of the year. I'm a dragon in Chinese horoscope. Don't know what that means. Looks fierce to me; to fit my temper I expect.

Have a nice trip, tomorrow and take care.

No it makes for a pretty disgusting cup of coffee with a load of soggy debris floating on top!

Meanwhile I seem to be crunching coco pops underfoot everywhere I walk - these things are just lethal but unfortunately kids seem to love them.
