Anyone tried "Kindle Bug App Browser" ?

This looks interesting Kindle Bug App Browser. It sounds like it's a new web-browser for the Kindle, but it actually seems to be just access to a website, at least I think that's what you're buying.

Yeah, it does simply seem like a website.

Amazon really needs to start cracking down on this sort of stuff, they are little more than scams...

Websites come and go, especially small sites. If in 3-months the people selling the site realize they aren't taking in enough revenue to cover their expenses then *poof* it's gone, and there's not much you can do about it. Even knowing that I'm still interested, that's why I posted asking if anyone had used it. It's only $2, but I don't want to completely waste even that much.

You could well be right, but it is puzzling that this is something that Amazon is actually selling on their site for their "flagship" eReader.

You would hope that Amazon would check the legitimacy of a website or manufacturer, or...before actually promoting it on their site.

It is just an ebook with web links in it, afaict. Amazon doesn't curate ebooks, unless there's some sort of 'controversy'. And they don't restrict where the web browser goes.

I tried this app hoping that it would allow me to surf sites where links open in a new window. This app did not enable me to do that.

Amazon has significantly limited access to the number of developers for creating apps/games in their azw2 file format. As a result, if anyone wants to create new apps but Amazon does not grant developer status, the person has use a website instead for the game/app (especially since Kindle 3 cannot read html files natively). If you have a suggestion for developers to create new interactive apps/games (since Amazon limited the number of developers), then I am sure there are a lot of people that would like to know.
