Greetings - I am an expert PC user just getting into my first ebook reader (a Nook Color). I am an Android fangirl so I am sorely tempted to root the NC...but I will sit on my hands and wait until I see what B&N offer next year.

I've idly read about a few issues which I need to investigate in more detail:
  • NC inability to pick up covers from epub files
  • how can I reorder books on "My Shelves"? e.g. I want to display a series in series order, not alphabetical order
  • moving books between libraries in Calibre seems to not be working on my mapped network drive

I'll get to these as I explore the site. Welcome, other newbies!

Thanks, everyone, for your warm welcome.

For those of you that asked about how I like the Nook Color: I love it, except for the inability to buy books from Barnes & Noble from outside the US (even via their website). I've had problems with an order I tried to place from the Nook which I can't download and can't remove from my library to try again. A call to B&N wasn't particularly helpful. I'll let you know how this goes.
