There was a guy in my unit in the Marines that snored. No wait, he did not snore, he made the most god awful, truck grinding gears, the sound of two polar bears trying to eat each other noise I have ever heard a human body make while sleeping. He would often find he ended up with a room all to himself when in barracks, or a wake up alone in a tent when in the field. He has had rolled socks, hats, gloves, canteens, boots, and, one time, a fuel bottle for a propane stove thrown at him to no avail.

People that had to room with him would often hit the rack an hour or so early in order to be asleep before him.

I've known some world class snorers, in the military, ski school, Girl Scouts, and even Rendezvous. the thing with Rendezvous, is that one champion snorer can keep an ENTIRE CAMP awake!

A common problem with women is that they snore. I'm not sure if men do, but I know that my wife does.

I've lightly shaken her, tapped on her, jerked the covers on her, flashed a flashlight briefly in her face, and in extreme episodes I've woken her up. I've even gotten up and slept on the couch a time or two.

Needless to say she tells me that SHE does not snore! She hasn't said that after I recorded her.

I have a white noise machine but it doesn't to help much.

I have some ear plugs for high noise environments and put them in a few nights ago. When I woke up I wondered what was wrong. I didn't think that I'd slept more than half an hour. I was as wide awake as I was when I'd laid down! But it was now 6:00am!!!

I had slept the whole night thru and wasn't sleepy as usual.

I tried it the last two nights with the same results, wide awake in the morning. So far the only side effect is that I get hit by my wife when my alarm clock goes off.

Do you make ALL your gear for Rendezvous or do you buy it pre-made. We won't tell on you if you cheat a bit here and there.

Personally, I was waaaaay to lazy to make everything back then! But I sold a lot of leather goods at camp, especially fringed elk hide ball pouches!

Geoff, think ' Glühwein' after some shoveling and trapsing through the snow.

I was at my PC and heard a cat meowing for quite some time;
thought it was a stray far away.. let it how!..........
howling persisted.............
asked husband ' where is our cat' .........
outside............
o my: a very reproachfull cat came in from the snow where she had sit on her butt for half an hour or so.

Well, we've not had a "big one" yet here, but I kinda like getting snowed in, provided we still have power etc., Just relax by the fireplace or in a comfy chair and read or do some writing or artwork or ...

well duh! on the open iron sights! hawk and knife, trail walk, pistol, candle shoot, off hand shoot, then all sorts of creative competitions, call your card on a board, call your lollipop on an A-Frame, shoot a playing card that is standing thin side to you, use your buddies rifle, shoot from a saddle (a hell of a lot harder than Hollywood would have you think!). lots of fun!
